#Hipstography

Hipstamatic is a mobile phone camera app that tries to emulate analog photography in some cool ways. In the old days… one placed film in the camera, and shot a roll, developed it, and then looked at what you had. Unlike today’s digital camera which shows you the image immediately, and you can easily make changes and re-shoot as needed. No, in the past, your attention was on seeing the image, through the lens, and then afterwards, you became aware of how successful you were at capturing what you saw.

Cameras, lens, films, all played a role and influenced the finished image, and photographers organized equipment, film etc, based on the syle and the look they’re after. Hipstamatic tries to recreate that in a fun way, and I’ve been having a great time making images with the app.
