Street photography, Spring 2021, Pittsburgh PA

This was parked outside my house for a few weeks this past Spring, while water/sewage workers were replacing pipes in the middle of the intersection. I had never thought of a porta-potty being a safety tool, but the juxtaposition of the sign and the structure just seemed to require a documentation. What was the plan, I wanted to know. At that time before vaccines, everyone was looking for plan, a way to stay safe.

This image made using a pin hole camera-like filter to affect visual perspective.

Often, urban street photography or architectural images seek to present a more stark and dramatic landscape. I was especially drawn to the amount of color present in the scene. This work is also connected to my other work, where I am focusing on text in art.
