Banana 1

In February 2022, I took a 6 week trip to Guadalajara Mexico. A handful of images I made are being added to my shop for purchase. These works are a tremendous departure from my normal subject matter, but I believe will make interesting and beautiful works for you to collect.

A number of these works capture fallen leaves and petals on the ground. Daily,I walked by a fruiting banana plant, and was often rewarded with a petal, sometimes just dropped, and others, one that had been on the ground, underfoot for a while.

I’m attracted these images for a few reasons. They are manipulated, in camera, and some manipulated further later. I’m attracted to the colors, textures, and light and dark areas.
