I’m on Patreon, accepting subscriptions. Why?
There was a time that Social Media was a great way for queer and other fringe artists to connect to potential customers. But in the political climate we live in, and the way an extremely few platforms control Social Media, this ability is getting harder and harder.
In the name of “community standards” these platforms place unreasonable restrictions on real Art works, and artist’s ability to publicize their work. The guidelines appear arbitrary and are inconsistently enforced. This has a chilling effect on artists, as they fear getting black listed or otherwise harming the way their content is distributed via the algorithms.
How can you help? Support LGBTQIA artists directly through their Patreon accounts. Patreon provides a secure and easy way to subscribe, often for as little as a few dollars a month! In exchange, artists provide special access to art, and other rewards!
