Some printmakers work towards making a series of identical prints, and that is a goal I sometimes strive for. However, if I’ve learned anything from my printing style, it is that I like to have images created more organically than that. This results in a number of one-of-kind prints, or prints in a series that are related, but not identical.

I have a series of a few images, which came about serendipitously. When I print, I use a very thick brown paper in between the screen and the paten as I switch inks make other changes. I also generally pull at least one print on this paper as test of the screen. I use these sheets over and over, and that leads to the sheets having an interesting juxtaposition of the images. Some of these, I thought were worth making available. I love the idea offprinting on unconventional paper, and the brown paper adds a “butch” feel to the images.

Prints measure about 12″ x 16″ and are signed and dated under the print. Shipped in a tube.

Note, these prints are not archival! The paper contains acids, and will breakdown and change colorer time. This may be years, but eventually, depending upon how much light they are in, the paper will change.

Note#2, yes, this imagers off the bottom of the paper. I love it this way.
