Unlike in much of my work, where I create a bold image, I found that in attempting to dissect, and understand past traumas, required a different perspective. One that was quieter and more nuanced.

The Pablo Mark series is my current body of work.In these, I wanted to experiment with the way memories and truth are transformed within the mind in ways that create differing timelines, differing intersections, and differing interactions.

Trauma, in and of itself impacts the way our memories save details. Often, this effort by our brain is one to protect us: to help guard those things which may be too difficult to see head on. And once stored within the brain, the images continue to change and morph. Sometimes we recall part of an image, or we recall a sequence out of order.
