This body of work was created after an invitation from the Associated Artists of Pittsburgh to go in and document the space that would later be gutted and become their 937 gallery. The space had previously been a gay bathhouse. As I made my way through the space, collecting pictures on film, it prompted memories and emotions, such that the final body of work was very autobiographical. The finished images combined text and photographs. The actual pieces were made twice, and the construction revised to add more layers in the second generation of the images.
